Since we go to Johns Hopkins this week about the size of Hayden's head I wanted to be sure that he could sit up well to prove he's just fine! I haven't been that good at getting down on the floor and helping him figure it out, I usually just let him crawl all over which he prefers! But, we've been practicing the sitting and he's picked it up really quickly, even with such a big noggin to hold up! We aren't worried about the size of his head since Tristan also had (and still has) a big head. They just want us to go as a precautionary measure and so we are heading there this Friday. We would appreciate your prayers that it all goes smoothly. It's a long trip, about 2 hours, and we've already been told to expect quite a wait when we get there. Since it's pediatric neurosurgery I'm just hoping that they have a pretty great waiting room geared to kids since Tristan will need something to keep him occupied!!!

OH!! What a little DOLLIE boy and don't they ALWAYS know when they're being filmed?! The little stinkers.
My kids both have big heads, too, and I always tell them the better to fit those huge brains inside of. (They both ARE smart and I don't think that because I'm their mother or anything.... ;=P )
Anyway, I sure hope all is well and your visit isn't TOO crazy long. Prayers and blessings to and for you all.
Funny story...I don't know if you remember that Andrew had encephalitis when he was 3 y.o. After he was well, we were at a follow-up appt. with the pediatric neurologist. He was checking to see if there was any brain swelling, and was asking us if we thought his head was any larger than normal. Then he looked at us and said, "Well, you both have kind of big heads, too." In the follow-up letter, he stated that Andrew's head size is "consistent with familial norms." Cracked us up! Hope the appt. goes well...keep us posted!
How did your appointment go? It seems like we've missed each other the past few weeks. dbost
