Happy Belated Birthday

So, I posted the day before Tristan's birthday but haven't been on here since! It's not because we haven't got anything to report, in fact on the contrary! We have been SO busy, it's not even funny!

Tristan turned 3 on September 18th and I can't even believe that time has gone that fast! We are so blessed to have such a great kid, even during his terrible moments! For his birthday we headed up to Grammie and Grandpa's house for the weekend. We didn't tell Tristan what we were doing to celebrate, we simply showed up at Strasburg Railroad and the look on his face when Thomas the Tank Engine pulled into the station was priceless! There was so much to see and do, we all had a great time. Here are some highlights of the day:

Watching Thomas pull into the station

Riding a little train that you had to power like a bike, but with your arms. Hard work!

In front of the train

Looking out the window!

Happy as a clam on the train

Tristan and Mummy on the train, yes once in a while I make it into a photo!

On the platform

Gordon, Percy, James and Tristan!

The Steamy that pulled us to Paradise

This photo cracks me up! I was trying so hard to get a picture of Tristan in front of Thomas as he passed but Tristan was far too interested in actually seeing Thomas for me to be able to get a photo like that!

After the festivities we headed back home for ice-cream cake and to open presents.

Apparently Tristan does NOT like to be sung to! We tried to sing Happy birthday and he ended up in a heap in tears under the table. Well, lesson learned, we won't sing again until he outgrows that stage!

More photos to come of the birthday weekend but for now I am too tired to finish! We are all fighting colds so off to bed I go, stay tuned for more! I promise not to stay away so long next time...

The trains look like so much fun! Hunter hasn't seen Thomas yet, but he loves choo-choos! Can't wait to take him to something like this. :)

Our boys loved Strasburg, too! (We went last fall). Unfortunately, we missed Thomas by just a few days!
But I always thought Tristan was born on the 19th...

Yes Wendy, I know, I'm wrong! Shelley pointed it out to me too! I am a terrible mother. When we went to Strasburg he was turning 3 that day but we got him in as an under 3! Dishonest? Well, not really because he was born after 10pm at night so technically... We had a great time but next time we want to go back when Thomas is not there, the crowds were a little much and I think Tristan would enjoy a steam engine just as much!
