Tristan funnies

There really are too many of these to remember them all. I need to blog about them when they happen so I don't forget them but here's a couple.

The other day we were reading the story of Jesus' birth and Tristan was telling me all about how Jesus was born in the stable. I told him that he was layed in the manger and Tristan told me that's where the animals eat. Then he paused to think about it and he asked me in a horrified voice "Mummy! Are the animals going to eat the Baby Jesus?!" I cleared this up for him, don't worry!

Tristan is usually a very loving and caring brother. My favorite is that at bed-time and nap-time he gives Hayden a hug and a kiss and says "goodnight Hayden, I love you" without fail, it happens every time. Endearing. I say this because if I just tell you this story that I am about to tell you, you might think that Tristan is awful! Hayden was climbing on Daddy's guitar case something that I had been telling Tristan not to do only moments earlier. Tristan pulled Hayden off and smacked him and then said "Sorry, Hayden. I didn't want to smack you but I had to give you a smack because you can't do that" It was hard not to laugh since Hayden was clearly not hurt or even slightly bothered by it! It just amused me that Tristan can dish it out but he still can't take it! I then had to educate him, once again, that it is not his job to discipline Hayden. I guess he does at least hear what I'm saying to him even though he doesn't seem to act like he does most of the time!
