Today was our substitute Mother's Day and so Chris and Tristan took me out to lunch at our favorite local Mexican restaurant. Tristan has lately been fascinated with dipping his food, like hot dogs and chicken in ketchup. The other day when I gave him some grapes for dessert he proceeded to dip them in the ketchup left on his plate, gross! This morning Chris offered him some of his cereal and he wanted to eat it dry but dip it in the milk! So, it was no surprise that at lunch time he saw us with chips and salsa and wanted to dip too! We let him try it but he really did not like the salsa but was most upset when we stopped him from dipping! So, our compromise was to let him have some ketchup, which he happily dipped his tortilla chips in!

Kids really DO like to dip everything in ketchup! I thought you were going to say that Tristan wanted to dip the cereal in ketchup...I guess that would be really gross! Good job with the dipping, Tristan!
