Beach Visitors

I am so sorry that we haven't posted anything in a while! I guess we've been busy, although I couldn't tell you doing what!

A couple of weeks ago "Uncle Andrew and Aunt Brittany" came to visit. It took Tristan a day or so before their arrival to address them properly, he had been saying "Uncle Brittany and Uncle Tony" But, he caught on and was so proud of himself that every time he got it right he said "I said it right!" with a big grin!

They came out to go to the beach and so that's what we did. The first day they boys and I drove out in the afternoon and then plan was for Chris to come from the Berlin office (which is close to Ocean City and where he happened to be working that day) to meet us for dinner. It didn't actually turn out that way, the restaurant was too busy and we ended up back in Salisbury for dinner, reminded of why we stay away from Ocean City in the height of summer! Then the next day Chris was off and we all headed out for the day. We actually had a good time, despite the crowds.

Day 1:

Hayden is quite happy to sit and eat sand:

Tristan feels that it is his duty to collect all the seaweed from the beach and put it back in the ocean:

He will enlist any and all help available:

If you do not do a good job he will chase you down the beach:

Day 2:

Hayden is quite happy to sit and eat sand:

(actually this time it might have been cheerios covered in sand)

Tristan was off seaweed duty and is taking a break while mesmerized by the waves:

Hayden is once again his happy self, even though Mummy forgot to pack him swim trunks! That's what swim diapers are for though, right?

There was actually a really nice sand-bar this day that created a shallow pool, well, it was up to Tristan's arm-pits so not that shallow for him! We really enjoyed sitting in it and playing in the water where there weren't any rough waves. Hayden would have sat there ALL DAY! He loves the water. Not sure why there are no pictures of this!

I was going to do a collage for these last few pictures but my Picasa can't seem to find any of my 2009 photos... super!

A nice lady at the beach gave Tristan a little dump-truck that she found. He LOVED it, of course, and used it to collect these shells and pebbles in.
