Water Baby?

Even though Tristan LOVES the beach and the ocean, he is so timid about water. Does that make any sense, no not really! But he REFUSES to go in swimming pools and even our neighbor's kiddie pool. Every time we are out there he goes no-where near the water in either pool.

He actually only fell out once!

I decided that it was time to just get out our own kiddie pool and see if he would play in our own yard if he was less intimidated... I was right! He had a great time.

His only concern is that he does not like to wear wet clothes! I think this was a big reason he didn't want to go in the pool! Recently I took him to the beach to visit a friend from college and as soon as he get wet he started taking his clothes off... I guess we need to work on that!





So, the other week I asked him if he would go in the pool if he could bring his bath toys along and with a big grin he said yes! So, last weekend we took his bath toys to a friend's pool and I got in and Daddy passed Tristan over to me. As soon as his toes hit the water he was crying hysterically and got so upset he peed in his swimming trunks... So, maybe we'll stick with little pools and the beach for swimming for now!

Tristan also LOVES to sit on the deck and watch Daddy mow the grass!

Hayden's newest favorite activity is pulling himself up! Here he is admiring himself in the reflection of the stove (through all the greasy little fingerprints)!
