a man of many words

Hayden is such a talker already. I swear he says more now than Tristan did at about 18 or 19 months of age. His first word was "Yeah" and his first real word was "shoes" which is funny because that's the first real word Tristan said too! I guess we go out a lot and are always getting shoes on! Here's a little list of what he says clearly (or clearly to me) so far:
  • shoes
  • yes (graduated from yeah)
  • no
  • ball
  • down
  • cup
  • cat
  • coat
  • car (OK, those last 4 sound similar)
  • juice
  • waffle
  • woof
  • moo
  • chair
  • banana (OK, he says nana)
  • Grandad

He also goes right to the coat closet when we say it's time to go out and he goes right to his changing table when he needs a new diaper! He's no dummy. He also puts his cup in the toy kitchen fridge when he is done with it and sits down wherever he is when you ask him if he wants to read a book. I think it is safe to say that when we go to pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins again next month they shouldn't have a problem with his cognitive development. I am hoping this will be the last time that the ask us to return...
