Our last minute road trip

Last week the boys and I took a last minute trip to VA. By last minute, I mean that we decided Tuesday afternoon and were on the road Thursday morning! It was a pretty good road trip actually and the boys did so well in the car. My good friend Stefanie, from college, lives in Silver Spring MD so we stopped there on the way. Her daughter Amelia, who is 10 days younger than Tristan goes to The Little Gym and since that was when we were passing though, Tristan got to take a free class with her!

Tristan is usually TERRIFIED of those inflatable bouncy houses and so I was really truly amazed that he jumped one one at the Little Gym! I realize that the only picture that I got is of him standning against the wall, but he really did have a great time!

Since Auntie Shelley had just moved in to a new apartment it was the perfect time to go and visit her too. We stayed our first night with her in Lynchburg, VA and Tristan especially loved her new place AND the elevator!

My friend Jenny, who lives in Charlottesville told me about a Children's museum in Lynchburg so Shelley asked some of her colleagues at work who all agreed that it is a great place for kids so we decided to check it out while we were there. The boys thought it was great and so did we! There really was a lot to see. It's called Amazement Square. The center section was a playplace type setup with slides that lead to the next floor down. There was so much cool stuff. Here are some shots of the boys enjoying themselves. Of course some of the things that I really enjoyed aren't featured here since I was having too much fun to stop and take photos!

Tristan's favorite thing in the entire place was this plastic cow that you could milk water from! It was pretty neat!

After we had seen it all we went for lunch and we told Tristan we would get him "worms in dirt" for dessert and I don't think he knew what to expect! He enjoyed it, nonetheless
