Today we took a "quick trip" to Lowe's to get blinds and curtain rods for the kids rooms... Yup, you guessed it, it didn't end up being a quick trip... The plan was to get back nice and early so that I could go and scrapbook at church. I did make it to scrapbook, but not until after lunch! We went to Lowe's and they, of course, kept us waiting for ages to get blinds cut and then didn't have everything we needed! So, we went to Home Depot to finish up. We found everything that we needed... and more... When we were going in we noticed that there were a few emergency vehicles parked outside and a fun activity where you could build your own fire-truck! So, of course, Daddy couldn't pass up the opportunity to make one for Tristan.
Tristan got to help with the hammer...

...But Daddy did most of the work!
Posing by the fire-truck
Tristan got this cool apron for future projects!

We love Kids' Workshop Days at HD! It's one of Mark's favorite things to do with the boys, and we have so many of their creations hanging around the house... :)
