Seriously, how did this happen?! How did he grow up so fast?! Hayden turned 2 last week so I am only a little late in celebrating him! Chris was on call and knew he was going to be late so we woke Hayden up at 7am to do presents etc. I let him blow out his candle and then took the cake away so he could have a healthier breakfast! Isn't that mean? He didn't care, he was too excited by new presents :) None from us I might add, we got him a plate, bowl and cup set, aren't we spoiling him something fierce?!

I learned a lot with this cake! 1. Everything is not as easy as the video on youtube shows it will be! 2. Red food coloring looks very pretty but doesn't taste so great in mass quantities. 3. Red food coloring does at least come out of clothes a lot easier than I expected!
We did have friends over for cake at lunchtime but somehow we didn't get any pictures!

Jonathan loves fire trucks, too. We actually took him to see a fire truck for his birthday, but I wasn't nearly as awesome as you making a fire truck cake. We ate key lime pie from the frozen food section :)
Off topic but would you ask Chris if he could recommend someone to fix our laptop. We'll be back in your neck of the woods around Thanksgiving and would like to get the laptop back up and running. We don't know who's good in the area. If he could shoot Tim an email that would be great! spin_jbc at yahoo
