We got Tristan this second hand work bench and we had planned to use it when we moved to a bigger house! Well, since we aren't moving to a bigger house it had been in the attic for a while. We were getting some things down for the baby and we asked Tristan if he would like us to get a "special toy" down from the attic. So, we brought it down and Tristan now calls it his "special toy". He enjoys playing with it but mostly he enjoys pulling the hooks out of the peg-board and asking Mummy to "fix it" which can get old really quickly! He is pretty quick about figuring out how to use the tools and can tell you the names of most of them, but the hammer is his favorite, probably because he can get away with banging it on the work bench!
It may have to go back in the attic once the baby swing comes down because it has taken the spot that I had designated in my mind for the swing... Well, maybe we will come up with something else. I am really hoping that this baby will be content in the swing for long periods of time... unlike a certain small child in this house was when he was small!
