restless

So, I think that I am swearing off naps for the rest of the pregnancy and then I assume after that I won't have a choice in the matter anyway. I think today was the second time for this entire pregnancy that I've had a nap. And, here I am again, sitting up late at night and unable to fall asleep! I only slept for about an hour but yet I seem to be awake about 3 hours later than I usually am at night... can someone explain that one!?

So, what else s new with me besides swollen feet and carpal tunnel? Not a whole lot really! Pretty much all the laundry is done for the new baby and I've also washed Tristan's new clothes in size 2T, just hoping that he'll grow into them! I think that I will probably be surprised at his 2 year visit next week to see how much he actually has grown!

His birthday is on Friday and we're having a low key day with a Thomas the Tank Engine cake which I will make over the next couple of days...

He goes for his 2 year visit at the pediatrician the week after his birthday. I have no concerns about him but I do have about 101 concerns about my hospital stay with a newborn and so I am hoping that I can get some answers from the doctor when we go and I am hoping that they will be the answers that I want. Which reminds me, I do need to pack a bag for the hospital just in case it's sooner than we think...

I'm torn between wanting to be done being pregnant and not wanting the baby to come just yet! Does that make sense? I am trying to enjoy the time that I have with just Tristan as much as I can because I know things will be hectic! I'm also trying to enjoy my peace and quiet while Tristan naps because I will soon loose that too! But, that's what got me to take a nap and that's what got me to be sitting up late at the computer typing away, so we can see how much of a smart idea that wasn't!

Chris starts a few days of vacation tomorrow and I am hoping to get a pedicure for my swollen feet before they are just too swollen that I'd be embarrassed to take them anywhere! Mum and Dad and Shelley are coming for a few days tomorrow and to be here for Tristan's birthday so that will be fun. I do have a list of small jobs to get done while they are here and while Chris is off.

Well, I am going to have another go at falling asleep in a few minutes! Wish me luck...
