New Year, New Perspective

I have decided that I need to get back to the little things that really do matter.  This post, and also my decision to start blogging again, was inspired by my friend Tiffany and so I dedicate this post to her, and really the rest of them if you think about it!  A lot of you reading may know that her sweet boy Lleyton who was only a few weeks away from turning 3 years old was killed in a tragic car accident on November 13th.  Their life will never be the same and I am choosing to take away from this experience that the little things really are the big things.

I had gotten away from blogging for no good reason other than the fact that I let myself get busy with other things.  Not that the other things were not valuable or important but that the little notes and pictures and quotes from my kids are the MOST important thing and deserve a higher place because you just never know when those blessings could be taken from you in an instant.

So, I am choosing to focus on my blessings.  I do not want to miss making a note of something sweet that was said or posting a picture that is just too funny not to be shared.  I do not want to miss sharing the laughs and the tears that come with each day.   My boys and my husband are my world and I want to share with you the best bits and sometimes the worst bits.

So, these are my blessings and they are great blessings, the best I could ask for.

We are ready for a new year, it is no secret I love routine, boys were in bed nice and early tonight.  I am thankful every night that I have them to tuck in and to have them calling me back again and again and again and again and....  Well, you get the picture!  I have found myself telling them a lot more how thankful I am to God for giving them to me.  I have always told them I love them more times in a day than I can count but it is a different perspective for me to be telling them that I appreciate having them and I truly do.

Tiffany, not a day goes by when we don't pray for you, Bruce and Lillie at bedtime.  We love you and we are here for you whatever you need.

If you are reading and you don't know Tiffany, please join me in praying for her.

Blessings,
Karen
