Yesterday was an awesome day here! I don't often get to say that my kids were good all day long but yesterday they really were good all day long! Chris was on call and gone most of the day and we were all tried and crabby from a not so fun Saturday and so we decided to stay home and do nothing, we really needed a quiet day. So, in the morning we all did Lego building (and I did some taking apart so they can build again). They truly are at their most cooperative when they are building Lego! They played together doing that for probably 4 hours and might have gone longer but I made them have lunch!
Then after lunch they wanted to play outside so (after some complaining that they didn't want to wear coats and hats) they went out in hoodies. It wasn't that cold but I think they did get a little chilly because they dug out their gardening gloves at one point! I think that was preferable to them to coming to tell me they were cold! I love that they are at an age now where they can play nicely outside and I can watch them from the kitchen window. I like to make up in my head what they might be saying when I can't hear them! At one point, towards the end of their 3 hour stint outside, I looked out and I saw this event. It made me laugh out loud from inside! I had to ask them to recreate it because by the time I grabbed the camera, they were done. Hope you enjoy their antics.
